小威与金牌裁判阿斯德拉基的“交恶”发生在第二盘比赛的初段，因为小威在尚未死球的情况下大吼“come on”，结果被阿斯德拉基判罚违规扣分，这样的判罚点燃了小威的怒火，并走到裁判席前怒问主裁：“如果你在大厅里看到我，你最好给我躲远点。我就因为这个就吃到犯规？我要说明我是谁，我这是在美国。你是那个以前把我惹毛的人吗？”

2 ]& T5 D: \1 A8 m 由于两年前小威在同克里斯特尔斯的比赛中有过“前科”，当时她被罚款17.5万美元，以及被判美网禁赛三年、缓期三年的处罚，因此小威此次再次肇事无疑面临着禁赛的巨大风险。不过最终小威仅得到了罚款2000的从轻处罚，美国网球协会发表声明称罚款“是因为在大满贯赛事中有过类似的违规行为。”
