台中县刑警大队侦五队前晚搜索王姓大学生丰原市家中，发现他的书房里有计算机主机、两台屏幕、计算器等，和一般大学生书桌没两样，却是个小型职棒签赌站。警方查扣他记录签赌数据的账册。王承认对职棒签赌很感兴趣，上网搜寻摸索出职棒大DC下注方式，且加入会员，玩了几次后当起“组头”。
$ `+ v! y1 ^; G+ @% m% ` “我对博弈很有兴趣，想当研究主题，才试玩看看！”学信息管理的王姓学生说，签赌涉及机率的统计学对他不是难事，美、日职棒签赌比较好经营，每周有一百四十场，每场下注总额二三十万元，会员根据赛程下注，不论赌A队或B队庄家都可赢钱，他原本每期可赚十多万元，结果经营一年多反赔钱。
! o- r! h2 b1 Q 他哭丧着脸说，败在经验不足，“有些人输了就跑路，或用人头入会，结果组头输了要赔，赢了却收不到钱，才会亏本！”王姓学生的父母经营资源回收厂，家境不错，接获警方通知满脸错愕，表示儿子每天在书房打计算机，以为他认真读书，没想到却经营职棒签赌。
